The right questions can be incredibly powerful tools for change. Learning to ask powerful open-ended questions takes time, but it’s a great way to build your peer coaching skills. An open-ended question invites others to tell you more of their story.
The types of questions you ask can change how people respond to you. A closed question has a simple yes or no answer. These sorts of questions do not provide opportunities for further conversation and can be limiting.
